Saturday, JUly 23, Will Be a Busy Day in Malibu

Our Lady of Malibu School, 3625 Winter Canyon Road, will hold its annual fundraising summer yard sale through July 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will feature many of the late Monsignor John Sheridan’s books and personal possessions, as well as a wide array of new and gently used treasures from all over Malibu, including clothing, home decor, antiques, books, appliances, clothes, jewelry, furniture and much more. The Malibu Boardriders Club will present the 20th annual Call to the Wall surf competition, all day long at Surfrider Beach. This year’s theme is a tribute to Malibu’s indigenous population, the Chumash, who named the beach Humaliwo, where the surf sounds Proceeds from the event support Camp Ronald McDonald. Activities at the competition will include events for children from the camp and their families.
