Malipalooza Salutes Indy

Malipalooza! 2011 annual summer festival will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 4 - 10 p.m. at Malibu Bluffs Park. The event is free and open to the public.

“Festival highlights include stage performances, a variety of gourmet food trucks, children’s activities, reptile touch tank, and booths for non-profit organizations and businesses,” a press release states.

The event will conclude with a special film screening of “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, as part of the City’s CineMalibu outdoor summer movie series. The movie will begin at dusk.

The film that introduced the world to former Malibu resident Harrison Ford’s archeologist-turned-action hero is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Film viewers are encouraged to bring warm clothing, and are reminded that the film contains scary and graphic imagery that may not be suitable for young children.
