LHSS Celebrates 20 Years

On Saturday, Sept. 17 the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station is inviting the public to an open house to celebrate the station’s 20th anniversary.
The open house is scheduled from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the station, 27050 Agoura Road.
Subject to availability, the event will feature “displays and demonstrations from numerous sheriff’s department resources, including: LASD helicopter and patrol car (young, and not so young, participants will have an opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat), Sheriff’s Arson/Explosives Unit, Special Weapons Team, Canine Unit, Mounted Posse, Lost Hills Reserve Mountain Rescue Team, STAR Unit, STTOP Deputy, Crashed Car Trailer and an interactive “Bike Safety City” activity for young cyclists.
The Team Sheriff Racing drag race car and driver Deputy Bill Chaffin are also scheduled to appear, as are representatives from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The event will feature live music performed by The Platinum Groove and Car Show.
